Operation Christmas Child-Samartian's Purse

Hidden Valley Presbyterian Church is the collection point for the South Valley for Operation Christmas Child. If you would like to participate, please fill a shoe box with items like the ones suggested below. If you live near me and want to build a box you can drop them off with me and I will deliver them to the church collection point. They need to be delivered by Nov. 14 and there is a $7 shipping fee that if you pay on line you can track your package to see where it goes. Otherwise include it in the package (see instructions http://www.samaritanspurse.org/). See the video's below for more information. Items you can include (and exclude)

TOYS
small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A
Sketch®, toys that light up or make noise (withextra batteries), Slinky®, etc.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers,stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper,
solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc.
HYGIENE ITEMS
toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plasticbag), comb, washcloth, etc.
OTHER
Hard candy and lollipops (please double bag allcandy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps;
sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches,flashlights (with extra batteries)
A PERSONAL NOTE
In a separate envelope, you may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family.
(If you include your name and address, the childmay write back.)

Don’t include

Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or
food; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snowglobes or glass
containers; aerosol cans
